Hand Harness Bracelet

This is a preview of an item I've designed for my up coming jewellery line which is to be released this summer! I'm so excited to debut my very first collection, and I hope everyone enjoys the pieces I've been working on so far! Stay tuned for more gorgeous jewels!

Summer is Almost Here!

I bought these lovely crochet shorts from Zara early this year when the weather was still too cold to wear them. I normally won't purchase an item if I can't wear it right away, but since I had been pining after a pair of sweet crochet shorts since last summer, I snapped them up as soon as I saw them!

Sexy Snakeskin Lovers

Zigi Soho Penelope

I just recently ordered these gorgeous dolls from online shoe boutique Heels.com, which I recommend to anyone looking for a huge assortment of sexy footwear. The best thing about this site is that you can actually view a video of a model walking in the shoes, which really helps when deciding whether to commit to purchasing them or not. Another benefit of ordering from this website? I received these about a day and a half after I ordered them which was super fast and so convenient!

Bright Up My Life!

I had to make this clutch mine the moment I first spotted it, and when I kept seeing it in every magazine editorial spread I knew that it wouldn't last long in stores. And I was right - when I tried to order online and realized it was sold out, I hunted it down to the nearest Aldo store. At just over $40 it was worth the hunt, since it's almost the exact same design as handbags by designers including Proenza Schouler and Rebecca Minkoff.

Aldo "Hord" Clutch $35

This covetable clutch is available in both yellow and pink and although I'm normally inclined towards wearing girly pink, I decided to take the unexpected road and go for the less predictable color. The bold hue of this bag is perfect to spice up any outfit by adding a pop of color, and the simplicity of the structure and design means it will be easy to pair with most items in my closet.I've managed to satisfy my craving for color with this purchase, although I do see more neon coming way way very soon!

Manicure Must-Have

These Sephora by OPI nail stickers are by far my favorite ones yet, mostly because they're available in so many different prints and textures. At about $14, they are a bit pricier than the Sally Hansen nail stickers, but they are worth the price not only because they last for up to 10 days, but also because they're so unique and original. These are definitely a must-have for anyone wanting to try the hottest new trend in nail art.

3-Way For V Day

On my last visit to the salon, I couldn't resist purchasing these  %100 soy body lotion candles. Retailing for only $7 each, these candles are available in delicious scents like apple-pomegranite and green tea-pomegranite. They also triple up as a body lotion, massage oil, and candle, all in one! Absolutely perfect for a fabulous Valentines day treat!

Rockin' Killer Curves With a Peplum Silhouette

I just bought this gorgeous two-tone blue top from the Rory Becca Collection at  Forever21. I absolutely love the peplum waist silhouette, and designers like Jason Wu, Vera Wang and Badgley Mischka have sent this style down the Spring 2012 runways. I also love how the back has a sexy cutout detail, and at only $21.80 this designer inspired look doesn't cost a fortune.

For day, I plan to wear this top with a high waisted black pencil skirt, black textured nylons and ballet flats. For a hot evening look, I'll pair it with a blue sequin mini that I already own, and a sexy pair of platform stilettos.

Love You Like A Lovesong

Just in time for Valentines Day, Sally Hansen has released these adorable love letter print nail stickers. Retailing for just under $10, the nail stickers really are worth the price. Not only are they available in the most covetable prints and designs, but they also last much longer than regular long-wear nail polishes and there's no pesky dry time.

The nail polish strips last up to ten days, and each package includes a cuticle stick, mini nail file, and two air-sealed packages of 8 nail polish strips. If you have shorter nails like me, you can cut each sticker in half to save the second package for future use. One key tip that I've learned from personal use of this product: Do not open the air-sealed package unless you are ready to wear the nail stickers, since they will dry out quickly after being opened.

Behind the Scenes...

These are some behind-the-scenes photos I took with my iPhone, during the last creative shoot I styled in December. I drew inspiration from the Roberto Cavalli Fall 2011 RTW Collection and amplified the theme with a hint of gothic romance. I chose to incorporate shades of burgundy and sapphire blue with black, and added a mix of different prints and textures since the color palette was so monochromatic. We used fans to get the windy effect, and for the very last look we used a smoke cone to create a dark and mysterious feeling. I wish that we could have used more of the smoke effect throughout the entire shoot, but I still love the way these pics turned out!

Today's Accessories Fix

The latest objects of my obsession are piled on wrist adornments in mixed sizes, colors and textures. I matched up my my rose-gold-tone Michael Kors watch with some authentic Indian bangles and a fuchsia enamel hinged bracelet from Forever21. I've been on quite an accessories shopping frenzy as of late, so I will post more photos very soon. Kisssss!

On-Air Cupcakes...YUM!

To celebrate the completion of our hardest semester yet, people from each class brought in some lovely treats, including these cute cupcakes that are on-air themed with a camera and a microphone. Such a pleasant surprise and a perfect treat to kick off the winter break! Yummmmm :)

Celestial Inspired Colors by ORLY

ORLY nail color in "Fowl Play" $7.50

ORLY nail color in "Ingenue" $7.50

Quo by ORLY in nail colors "Turquoise Moonlight", "Celestial Star", and "Night Sky" $10 each

Quo by ORLY in "Celestial Star" $10

I recently found out about the brand of nail polish called ORLY, and there are a few reasons why it’s now my absolute favorite.

I’m a huge fan of shimmery high-definition nail colors, and ORLY does it better than any other brand right now. I bought “Fowl Play” from the Birds of a Feather Collection, and “Ingenue” from the Holiday Soiree Collection. Both lacquers are so unique and super glimmery-shimmery, which is so perfect for the holiday season.

Proving their growing popularity, ORLY has released a range of nail colors in their recent collaboration with Shoppers Drug Mart makeup brand Quo. The collection is inspired by the starry-night sky, and I just bought a beautiful sapphire blue shade with subtle purple specks called “Celestial Star”.
I love the ORLY brand because they provide the best in irresistible metallic colors, but the most important benefit is that these polishes are free of DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde, all chemicals linked to cancer.

I have my eye on several colors to add to my growing collection of ORLY Nail Lacquers, including “Rococo A Go-Go” a gorgeous shimmering reddish-burgundy from the Mineral FX Collection, and “Night Sky” from the ORLY by Quo cosmic inspired collection. These sexy polishes make for perfect stocking stuffers this Christmas, and you can find holiday gift sets of three at Winner’s and Stylesense stores, right now.

Galaxy Nails

Galaxy Nails are eye-catching and unique, so of course I had to try it out! Here is a step by step tutorial of how I got this look:

Step 1: Start with a base coat. I always use Essie's growth formula, which actually works very well and dries almost instantly.

Step 2: Apply one coat of dark blue polish, I used Essie's Aruba Blue. Remember to let each coat dry before the next is applied.

Step 3: For step 3, you must paint each nail at a time. Once the first layer of blue is completely dry, apply one more thin layer of dark blue. Then use a tiny bit of black polish at the base of your nail, and light shimmery blue polish on the upper part of the nail. Then comes the blending, use a clear top coat that you don't mind using for mixing colors. Paint over the nail using the brush to blend the colors. Apply one final top coat after blending to smooth out the top layer of nail polish.

Step 4: Add a few small rhinestones at the base of your nail where the color is darkest. If you apply gems to the tips of you nails, they tend to fall off quicker, so keep this in mind. You can use shimmery silver nail polish the make it look very sparkly!

A Peek Into My Jewellery Collection...

I took this skeleton arm candle holder from the family halloween decor to use as a jewellery holder, which I thought was quite a clever idea! These are just a few photos of some of my jewellery and accessories. The two rings in the bottom photo are both from Aldo Accessories, and the nail color is "Coral Me Wild" from Revlon. I really love a bright nail color paired with gothic rings, especially since it's almost Halloween!

Sparkle and Shine

I found this beautiful sequin embellished hairband at StyleSense, for only $15! I remember seeing this Canadian designer, OPHELIE Hats, featured in past issues of Flare Magazine and Lou Lou. There is so much work that goes into these wonderfully handcrafted hairpieces, and I will certainly get alot of wear out of this lovely gem!
